Dec 15 - Grip It and Rip It

ADULT_ALUM_MVP2.jpgIn 1984 he batted .343 and won the AL batting title. The following year he batted .324 with 35 homeruns and 145 RBI and won the MVP. He is the hitting coach for the New York Yankees. His nickname is “Donnie Baseball.” So when Don Mattingly invents something that he says will make you a better hitter, you’d better listen.

Mattingly Baseball, (www.mattinglybaseball.com) is a hitting revolution waiting to happen. The secret? The patented V-Grip technology designed to deliver the sweet spot to the ball and generate additional bat speed. Instead of an ordinary round handle, the V-Grip bats are shaped to keep the knuckles aligned and shift the bat away from the palm and into the fingers, forcing your grip to be in ideal alignment every time for a perfect follow-through.

The V-Grip allows you to place your hands in a strong, relaxed position. Pick up the bat, look at the label and the bat falls right into the slot. If your hands are in the proper position you can bring the barrel right down to the ball. And we all want to do that.

My son is a high school freshman. We took the V-Grip Aluminum MVP to the field, and it was scary. The bat’s got the hottest alloy in the game, the “Locked-N-Loaded End Plug” designed to bring the ultimate trampoline effect, and the cushioned V-grip. I’ve never seen balls fly off his bat with that kind of velocity and power. Plus, the first thing everyone says when they see the MVP is how cool it looks. We generated a crowd of kids who all wanted to take some swings. And after all that, the Mattingly bats are priced fairly; lower than other inferior products on the market.

We’ve all heard the phrase, “grip it and rip it.” Now, thanks to Donnie Baseball, all we have to worry about is ripping it. The grip takes care of itself.

This bat is awesome. My son always had problems with having both elbows up, and aligning is fingers correctly. This bat really helped him. He is only 7 and to have something in his hand that was a constant reminder, was really nice. He now aligns his fingers correctly and his contact and bat speed in increasingly better. Thanks Donnie Ballgame
