Jan 9 - Your Back Will Thank You

fango_product.jpgEver owned something that you didn’t think you needed at first, but then, once you had it you wouldn’t want to give it up? If you’re a baseball coach, that may be the way you feel about Fango. (www.nyelabs.com/sports). Designed by Bill, “The Science Guy” Nye, the Fango is a simple rubber gizmo that fits on the barrel end of most bats and fungoes. It’s gripping “teeth” pick up stray baseballs so you don’t have to bend over. What’s really surprising about the Fango is its range. You needn’t be directly on top of an object to grab it, which means no walking to each ball. If you can reach it with the Fango, you can snag it. It even doubles as a bat stand so if you run out to demonstrate a technique then come back to resume hitting, guess what? Because the bat isn’t lying on the ground, again, there’s no stooping.

The Fango might not help your team win the championship, but it will save a season’s worth of wear and tear on your back. So win or lose, at least you’ll feel great when you bend down to give your players high-fives.
