August 10 - How Bad Do You Want It?

Once every four years we find ourselves watching with rapt attention sports for which we would otherwise never even pause when surfing with the remote. But seeing the world’s best gymnasts, swimmers, volleyball players, divers, and other Olympic athletes, it is hard not to marvel at the obsessive dedication each has shown to their craft, allowing many whose God-given gifts are less than exceptional to compete and excel at a level most can only dream of. The people at Power Systems want to provide the tools to anyone with enough heart, desire and dedication. They’ve designed a full line of Plyometrics training devices that will allow the budding Olympian to improve speed and explosiveness.

What is plyometric training? Plyometrics refers to exercise that enables a muscle to reach maximum force in the shortest possible time. The muscle is loaded with an eccentric (lengthening) action, followed immediately by a concentric (shortening) action.

Jump Soles is one of many great products you can find at (www.power-systems.com). Target development of the lower leg to improve speed and explosion with this unique training device that raises the foot onto the ball, developing the Achilles tendon and calf muscles.  Easily attaching over shoes with Velcro straps, Jump Soles can be used in plyometric training to maximize the stretch/preload placed on these muscles to elicit a faster and more powerful contraction.

So do you have what it takes? There are those who do and those who don’t. However, if you watch the games from Beijing these next two weeks, you’ll notice that the difference between the do’s and the don’ts is more on the inside than the outside. Power Systems has all the tools you’ll need to develop the athlete within. The heart, desire and dedication are up to you.
