August 17 - Can't Wait for Monday

If your passion is sports and you’d like to extend that love to the workplace, check out Work In Sports.com (www.workinsports.com). Work in Sports touts itself as the #1 sports-related job board, and we believe it.

From an employers side, I’ve always been extremely pleased with the quantity and quality of applicants I’ve received when posting jobs for various sports-related businesses. If you recruit for a business that is in the sports field and you’re paying hundreds or thousands of dollars to the big boards or classifieds, you owe it to yourself try these guys. The site is extremely user-friendly. I’ve used Monster, Hot Jobs and Career Builder, among others, and I can get in and out of Work in Sports in half the time it takes to use the big guys. Plus, instead of getting “shotgun” applications from people who don’t have a clue what you’re about, every applicant you’ll receive from Work in Sports is there for one reason – they love sports. And best of all for employers? Posting jobs and searching resumes is absolutely free.

Job-seekers clearly get their money’s worth too, based on the jobs available and the number of candidates that populate the site. The cost for candidates to enroll is tiny fraction of the investment they’d make in hiring a recruiting service, and they’re going to find and be found by, exactly the type of employer they’re looking for.

Having worked for years in the corporate culture, I know how it feels to start another work week with a company for which you have no passion. But if you can love what you do and can earn a living at it, you might find yourself thinking Monday to be your favorite day of the week.
