August 24 - Grip Tape Magic

My son got a new hockey stick for his birthday. He and the neighbor kids are big-time into street hockey. The first thing he wanted to do was tape the grip. Now he’s got the coolest grip around thanks to Oggie Grip (www.oggiegrip.com). Oggie Grip’s Sticky Grip Foam allows players to create a custom grip easily and without being a magician with the tape. Instead of twisting the tape around the stick handle, which can be imprecise and uncomfortable, simply arrange the various die-cut shapes of the Sticky Grip Foam into your preferred pattern on the top of your stick, and then tape over. You get a cushioned grip that feels more secure compared to the hardness of the twisted tape.

Shapes can be mixed and matched, creating a fit and feel that cannot be achieved with tape alone. Plus, you’ll love the way it looks. In addition to hockey, Oggie sticky foam can be used on lacrosse and field hockey sticks, providing a more uniform, softer, and more comfortable grip base.

So use your imagination. Create the patterns and shapes you like. Sure, when the other players see what you did with your grip they’ll think it is the coolest thing they’ve ever seen, but you’ll know that what really makes it cool is the way it feels in your hands.
