July 9, 2009 - Compact Comfort
This morning we saw our son off to a weekend passing-league tournament with his high school football team. On the list of items they recommended the kids bring was a chair. There are going to be hours on the field, in between games, and it would not be comfortable sitting on hot bleachers or just on the ground.
But, like most teenagers, he was also a little concerned with coolness. In other words, he wasn’t going to get on the bus with some dorky lawn chair or beach recliner. In fact, he stipulated that the only way he was going to bring something was if it fit into his already-stuffed football bag.
Lo and behold, we had a chair that fit both criteria. The Quick-E-Seat from GCI Outdoor (www.gcioutdoor.com) is an amazingly portable and comfortable go-anywhere chair.
It only weighs four pounds, has an extra-wide, padded backrest, and a quick-fold strap that makes it a breeze to carry. My boy grabbed it, and fit it into his duffle bag with room to spare. You can’t beat it for compact convenience.
If you’re looking for the best camping and sporting chairs on the market, you won’t miss with GCI Outdoor. I don’t know how much playing time my son will get this weekend, but I do know that when he’s kicking back with his friends between games, he’ll be the best-equipped player on the team.
