I have a hyper-active lab mix that thinks she's still a puppy after eleven years. In order to keep her somewhat sane, I try to give her a walk every day. When the folks at Tenevis contacted us and asked that we check out their new shoes designed for maximum walking comfort, I was more than ready to give my routine an upgrade. Tenevis, which is defined as “soft and powerful” in Latin, began as an idea by YS Hwang, the President of the Boss Corporation in Pusan, Korea. Hwang, an experienced footwear veteran, challenged his staff to create an innovative technology that could be used on many different design platforms.

With this challenge in hand, his staff created the patented balance bone and chip technologies. A study by The Calgary Institute of Kinesiology proves that these technologies increase the cushioning of the shoe by 127.5 percent, reduces the load on your joints by 30 to 40 percent and decreases muscle fatigue. In addition to this study, Tenevis has also received FDA approval as an orthosis corrective shoe.

What this all means is that Tenevis helps improve posture and reduce back pain. More than anything else I noticed that the pair I was wearing actually seemed to help propel me forward with every step. But don't confuse these with other shoes on the market that are simply "rocker bottoms," which means the sole is shaped like a "U", causing them to be unstable and rock back and forth. Tenevis provides a solid walking platform with tremendous cushion, so that you feel comfortable and confident with every step.

Its nice to travel in comfort. And while you may not be able to afford to drive a luxury sedan everywhere you go, at least now your feet can know what its like to get a Cadillac ride.
