July 16 - A Boatload

furuno.jpgOK, so you like fishing, but not the part where you wait for a fish you can’t see to happen along and grab your bait. That takes time and patience you don’t have. You’d rather go to them then let them come to you. Instead of saying, “Let’s see what happens,” you make it happen. Time to make the investment in the Funuro NavNet Fish Finder (www.funuro.com).

The NavNet combines radar, GPS/WAAS chart plotter, fish finder, and network weather facsimile into an all-round navigation network. The heart of NavNet is its Ethernet-based network. Up to four displays, together with various navigational sensors, can be interconnected in addition to new MaxSea-NavNet navigational software, which adds even more features to your “wi-fi(sh)" network. Stress-free navigation can be performed from any display unit connected to the onboard network, due to the high-speed transfer of data available. Because the only thing that’s stressful about fishing is when they’re not caught.

If anyone tells you that you’ve got an unfair advantage, tell them to go sit on the edge of the pier with their cane pole and can of worms. There might still be a couple of fish left over at the end of the day for them. That is, only if there’s no more room in your boat.
